Drink a cup of hot tea, hot chocolate, or other warm beverage for instant relief.
Open your curtains to let the natural light and warmth heat your home on days the temperature outside is slightly warmer. Be sure to shut the curtains at night to keep the warmth from escaping.
Change your ceiling fan’s direction to clockwise to pull cool air up and push warm air down. The redistribution of the warm air will make your rooms feel warmer and more comfortable.
Change your bedding to a warmer material, such as flannel, especially if you’re turning your thermostat down during the night to save money.
Use a humidifier to push moisture into the air to keep you both healthy and warm during the dry winter months.
Light a candle to disperse heat and light. If you feel like having a craft day you can heat your home using just tea lights and flower pots.
