Five PHHS Graduates Re-Unite to Dominate Pendleton Real Estate

During the early to mid-80s, five Pendleton Heights High School (PHHS) students got to know each other and parted ways unaware of the fact their future businesses in the real estate and mortgage lending industry would bring them back to each other.

Now in 2015, over 30 years later the five PHHS students are joining forces to help each other and the Pendleton community.

Tim and Julie Schnepp, a husband and wife team who own and operate the local RE/MAX in Pendleton, IN, are two of the graduates. Siblings Mary Anne Wattleworth, Bradley Voyles, and Tammy Carey who own and operate GVC Mortgage, Inc., make up the other three graduates.

Although the Schnepps are partnering with their fellow PHHS alumni, they’ll be working more closely with Brad Kenworthy, Branch Manager, and Doug Cooper, Mortgage Loan Originator, at the GVC Mortgage, Inc. retail branch location in downtown Pendleton.

“This partnership really evolved from our friendship with Mary Anne, President of GVC Mortgage, Inc., and through our relationship with Doug when he worked in the banking industry,” Julie said.

The two businesses have been located just down the road from each other for more than a year and had been giving each other referrals here and there, but a partnership like this never existed before.

Kenworthy commented the partnership “just makes sense,” as both companies are family-owned and focused on not only growing, but helping the community.

“As we explored our options we realized what a huge benefit it would be for us and our clients to partner with GVC,” Julie said.

As for Pendleton, the partnership really solidifies two hometown businesses working hand in hand to serve the community for one of the biggest investments people will make in their lives. Both companies are focused 100% on helping each other grow through serving the community.

“We’re going to treat our community with great respect because we’re from here,” Wattleworth said.

Julie added, “We’ve found value in each other’s services and would love to share those services with those who need it in the community. We’re excited for the future and the benefits our clients will see because of this partnership.”
